1st Edition : Bottle Lab
Sat. May 2nd - Chicago Photography Classes
The Product Atelier is a hands-on workshop series led by product and food photographer Mo Bench
Each session focuses on a different object and lighting challenge, helping participants develop practical product photography skills in a friendly, studio environment.
In this first edition — Bottle Lab — we explore one of the most fascinating subjects in product photography: glass bottles.
Photographing glass is all about controlling reflections, shaping light, and revealing the liquid inside the bottle. During the workshop, you'll learn how to use diffusion, flags, and background lighting to create clean, elegant bottle images.
Mo will demonstrate a few lighting approaches for photographing glass products, and participants will have time to explore the setups and shoot their own images.
The goal is simple: understand how light behaves around glass and leave with a set of polished product photographs.

Spring Burst
Sat. May 16th - Chicago Photography Classes
Shoot & Taste is a playful food photography workshop series led by food and product photographer Mo Bench.
During Shoot & Taste, participants learn how to capture beautiful food images in a friendly, hands-on environment — and enjoy a tasting at the end. Each edition celebrates a different theme through one special dish.
In this Spring Burst edition, we celebrate the colors and freshness of the season. Participants will assemble the final touches themselves — arranging fruits, adding garnishes, and styling the plate before photographing it.
Through simple guidance on light, color, and composition, you’ll learn how to transform fresh seasonal ingredients into bright, inviting images.
You’ll shoot, you’ll taste, and you’ll leave inspired — with a new appreciation for how fun and accessible food photography can be.
This workshop is perfect for food lovers, and anyone curious about food photography but unsure where to start.
